When Uranus strikes your Moon: Transit of Uranus conjunct the Moon in your birth chart

Michael Conneely

Michael Conneely

Uranus is transiting conjunct the Moon in my birth chart. This transit can only happen once every 84 years. Uranus takes 84 years to orbit round the Sun, so he can only transit conjunct your moon in your birth chart once in a life-time at most.

And when it happens, it’s like the Struck Tower Card in the Tarot.

Here is a computer-generated ‘one-size fits all’ brief indicator of what to expect. And I’m using the example of my own astrology because it’s happening to me now:

Exact 29 May 2016, Exact 1 Oct 2016, Exact 20 Mar 2017

‘This transit brings unexpected emotional upsets during which you will break down old emotional patterns and experience new freedom. During this time of discovery you will learn that the old ways are not necessarily the best ways. This may involve breaking away from parental or authoritarian influences. You will feel an urge to explore your own feelings. The path to emotional freedom may not be smooth. You may undergo times of uncertainty, frustration, moodiness and irritation as you attempt to change your patterns of behaviour. Your loved ones may not immediately respond positively to your need for change. Your home life may be in disarray. However, your intuition is strong during this transit and you can use your inner knowledge to pursue an emotionally-fulfilling path which respects both your needs and the needs of loved ones.’

Well, obviously the frustration, moodiness and irritation don’t apply to me personally – well, at least that’s my story!!!

Here’s the graph of the timing of my Uranus to Moon transit so you can see how it works. So first of all Uranus goes forward over my natal Moon, then he retrogrades back over my natal Moon, then he heads forward again and passes over my natal Moon for the last time to head on round the zodiac on his 84-year orbit:

So, here’s my ‘Uranus to Moon Transit’ story, and how I believe I have turned round what felt like cataclysm at the time, for good and for better!

uranus transits moonWhat happened is that my (adoptive) family suddenly blew apart. My very elderly adoptive mother had a sudden fall and it was all decided that day, without my knowing, that she go to live with my adoptive sister several hundred miles away. And this was in circumstances that were just like King Lear! As you can imagine, I got the nasty Texts and the bossy letters! It’s been a difficult adoption. This is what my soul chose for me this life time. My Moon is actually in a special condition called Gandanta in Vedic Astrology, so these events were ‘meant’ and for my hard learning. Gandanta moon means that ‘Mother will not be there for you’ and its divine intention is that out of such a difficult karmic knot that can only tighten every time you try to loosen it, you in fact learn to stand up for yourself.

At the same time as the fall, I decided to contest a Will made by my adoptive brother. He had made it secretly just before his death in an alcoholic dementia unit, despite the fact that what’s called a ‘Statutory Will’ had been made some years beforehand by the Court of Protection.

He had dedicated the last two years of his life to seeking to disinherit me following one of his earlier Care Homes who later kicked him out, calling me in to take action on his shoplifting alcohol and his being aggressive to staff, etc. Unsurprisingly this made me unpopular with him!!!

In his sixth and final replacement Care Home, as he was dying, he found an ambitious young solicitor with all the expenses of setting up his own firm at that time. And this young solicitor secretly made a replacement Will for my brother to overturn the Statutory Will, telling my brother that although he was mad when the Statutory Will was made, ‘but you’re sane now’.

The ambitious young solicitor the new Will on the basis of a simple tick box test for sanity administered by a General Practitioner doctor, whereas the Statutory Will had been made with the involvement of four consultant psychiatrists! Needless to say: the new Will disinherited me.

It was a shock to me to find out when he died just afterwards that a new Will had been made. And I feel it raises the public interest that this could happen. But I decided that I must stand up for myself and stand up for what I saw as Truth, and contest this new Will. And of course, this made me even more the family target. It’s hard and sad being the sane one in a family! It takes a lot of courage and overcoming fear when all your life you’ve been treated as the invisible one who had to always acquiesce and stand aside.

Tower Card TarotThe Uranus to Moon Transit is like the ‘Struck Tower’ Card in the Tarot.

Magus Tarot CardThe challenge is to make it ‘The Magician instead’!

Interestingly, my partner, Maggie Pashley, who is a very widely qualified healer, also has Uranus transiting her Moon just afterwards. This is because her Moon is just two degrees after my Moon in her birth chart. So my ‘Struck Tower Card Experience’ was shortly to be her ‘Struck Tower Card Experience’.

So, What happened? We both became convinced we must move away from the darkness, and indeed be re-born, and set up in a new life.

We did have some support. For example we have a wonderful group learning the Runes with us in Latvia, and they came up with the Rune Divination that in taking the dangerous challenge I would succeed.

I had a psychic reading/psychic surgery healing from a wonderful woman in the western USA: Elizabeth Hendricks, who had told me that I should visit the rocks of the land of my birth family for healing and empowerment.

My own astrology convinced me I should take the risk and head for my destiny. In my current western astrology there was not just this Transit of Uranus to my Moon. Uranus had also just started to transiting into my 10th House which offers ‘Revolution in Career’, and my ‘Progressed Moon’ was just entering my 4th House which can favour move of home.

My Vedic Astrology was insistent in offering me success. In the wonderful predictive periods of Vedic Astrology, I am in the final sub period of the long Rahu period, or ‘Rahu Dasha’. Rahu is the North Node of the Moon. It’s the indicator of where the thrust of your incarnational destiny is taking you this life-time. Rahu Dasha always ends with the final sub-period of Rahu-Mars, a turbulent ending to a period where you are impelled to make that final push to your incarnational destiny in order to prepare for the next Dasha, which in my case starts this November 2016. The next Dasha in the sequence is always Jupiter:  and it’s Jupiter Dasha, which will bring me the crowing success of my life, snatching this from the teeth of darkness and fear, I feel.

So I am telling you all this, partly to demonstrate what the ‘Transit of Uranus to Moon’ can bring you, and partly to show how I expertly combine both western astrology and Vedic astrology in my astrology readings and courses.

So: what did we decide to do in the face of this ‘Struck Tower’ Uranus to Moon Transit experience?

croagh patrick reek sunday 2014 9Well, we decided to emigrate to Ireland, to Westport in fact. It’s on the beautiful western coastline of Ireland, not far from where my Irish birth family are (who don’t know I exist!).

My partner Maggie Pashley looks forward to a new project of sharing her many healing modalities in different towns and healing centres in Ireland as well as her online worldwide work. I look forward to continuing all my worldwide astrology readings and courses, but I am also looking forward to adding in shamanic, runes and ogham retreats. And I also seek to add in work on the sacred earth of nearby Croagh Patrick Mountain.

I suppose my message arising from this first of three bursts of my Uranus Transit conjunct the Moon in my birth chart, is that you may have to find courage to stand up for yourself. You will have to expect the unexpected. You may need to find healing (and my astrology readings and courses always point to healing modalities to bring out the best in what your astrology describes.

There were lots of synchronicities and special omens. It’s worth mentioning a chance seeing of the film Winter’s Tale in New York also meant a lot to me as the shock initially dawned: the film’s story is that we are each born to manifest our special talent. If we do this, we go on into the Light, which in fact joins all living beings, except that there are some beings dedicated to the darkness whose mission it is to stop souls heading to their light. A White Horse appears as rescuer at key moments.

And so my Uranus to Moon transit experience convinces me that above all you must aim for that special spark for which you incarnated: the special quality or achievement in your life that you came here to be and do.

Sade Sate when Saturn transits over your Moon: This happens to Donald Trump in December 2016: Will it ruin his chances?

Michael Conneely

Michael Conneely

Sade Sate is the seven and a half year period in Vedic Astrology when Saturn transits over your Moon.

It happens exact to Donald Trump in December 2016: the center of his Sade Sate period.

Will it ruin his chances?

Donald Trump has been riding high recently and election pundits are warning people not to disregard his chances of winning.

One of the big astrological indicators of his success at this time (May 2016) is because the Sun is in the Vedic astrology sign of Aries. Donald Trump’s rising sign in Vedic Astrology is Leo. Leo is ruled by the Sun, and Sun has been exalted in Vedic Aries, and Sun will stay Exalted until Sun enters Vedic Taurus on May 14th.

However, in terms of what’s called Ashtakavarga, the powerful Vedic Astrology measure of how a planet does in any particular sign, well, Donald Trump has a good score for Sun in Taurus, so I think the success will continue, and note from his Vedic birth chart shown below that Vedic Taurus is actually his Sun’s own Sun-sign in his Vedic astrology birth chart.

But the big issue to consider is the fact that Donald Trump is in Sade Sate.

Sade Sate is the accurate and difficult Vedic Astrology Teaching of Saturn transiting the Moon in your birth chart.

There are three sign phases to Sade Sate: when Saturn transits the sign before the sign that the Moon occupies in your birth chart, when Saturn transits the sign the Moon occupies in your birth chart, and when Saturn transits the sign after that.
Sade Sate affects all of us when Saturn transits over our Moon in our birth chart.

It takes Saturn twenty eight to twenty-nine years to orbit the Sun. He thus takes two and a half years to transit each sign. So the whole experience of Sade Sate, when Saturn transits through three signs actually lasts seven and a half years.

Donald Trump’s Sade Sate period started when Saturn entered Vedic Libra in October 2011. The start of Sade Sate is intense because the mind is very affected at that point. Sade Sate then gets easier, though it then gets really tough when Saturn is on top of the natal Moon, and there’s also a sting in the tail at the end of Sade Sate.

Saturn is transiting exact on Donald Trump’s Moon on 30th December 2016, and on 20th August 2017 and 29th August 2017 (so in August 2017 his Sade Sate experience will be really intense: but will he be in power then or out of power?)

saturn planet 2So, what is the Sade Sate period like? Sade Sate is like going down into a pit, cut off from God’s grace, with the divine purpose that we can see and learn the limitations of our own unaided personality and incarnation.
The turning point when Saturn ceases to go down into the pit and starts to rise up out of it. This is when Saturn actually transits across the Moon in your birth chart.
You will be needing to let certain things die in your life during your Sade Sate period in order to re-organise your psyche, your beliefs and your associations and lifestyle, in order to be more immediately connected to the divine.
The more pride and fixity or illusion about themselves a person has during Sade Sate, the more they suffer.
You will best need to deal with turbulence or depression of the mend, for example thorough mantra and healing modalities. And note that in the time before the exact transit, there will be risk of false complacency.

You can book an astrology reading with me if you are approaching or in Sade Sate and the insight and advice I will give you will be accurate and immense.

But, to return to Donald Trump: in Donald Trump’s case, will this ‘descent into the pit’ mean that Donald Trump will lose the election?

Might it alternatively mean that he will simply take on the world with more pride and ferocity as he digs himself in and win the US Presidency through all the wrong ways?

This is the fourth Post of mine about Donald Trump and what drives him and whether he is likely to win the US Presidential Election. Hve a look at the others, and read future posts to find out what will happen.

Blog Post 1 started this series off in a reasonably light-hearted way, noting that in terms of western psychodynamic astrology, Donald Trump actually has a ‘Megaphone’ chart Aspect Shape in his western astrology birth chart. This will obviously come as a surprise to everyone!
Blog Post 2, however, got more worrying because it was noted that Donald Trump has a very divisive chart shape in his Vedic Astrology birth chart: He has ‘Kal Sarpa Yoga’. All his planets are enclosed by the Serpent: all are enclosed between the Nodes of the Moon.
Blog Post 3 noted that this ‘Kal Sarpa Yoga’ divisive serpent energy is not only in the chart of Donald Trump as US presidential candidate. Amazingly, by coincidence, it is also at the same time mirrored in the heavens as well! What a terrible coincidence!

Frightful Full Moon 21.5.2016 : Hear about it and prepare

Michael Conneely

Michael Conneely

There is a very difficult Full Moon on May 21st. the pressure on our minds and emotions will be intense.

This will especially be true if we are Cancer risers who are ruled by the Moon or if we have a lot of planets in Vedic Cancer, Scorpio or Taurus, but all of us will feel the bite of this Full Moon.

We can quite simply get enchained in complicated thoughts or emotions and make wrong decisions and hurt ourselves and others.

Seriously, I mean this: what are you going to do to deal with this???

The value of astrology warning like this is to keep the page blank in your diary on such a day and be careful the days either side. Avoid starting or doing things on days with churning, malefic energy like this one. Strive to be conscious. Strive to plan. Strive to heal difficult feelings that arise at this time: they are wanting to be headed; that’s why they are arising.

Forewarned is forearmed. Use this Full Moon as a time to empower, even if you feel vulnerable and at your wits end. Share with your partner. Learn simple healing techniques shown on my websites (see below). At times like this it is a good idea to get an astrology reading. My readings are worldwide and recorded, with very helpful reports and opportunities for questions/discussion. Or if you want depth awareness, join one of my astrology courses (again, see website below).

One thing is: don’t do something now that will cause a chain reaction in your life and in the life of your loved ones. That is so much more difficult to manage.

Below is the western astrology chart for this Full Moon, followed by the Vedic Astrology chart. For the exact time where you live, see: http://www.timeanddate.com/

So, what’s so challenging about it? Why is it a good idea to learn about it and prepare?

Well, first of all, the Moon is very closely conjunct Mars (less than 1 degree). This means you will feel irritable (OK you will explain to your partner it’s not your irritability and it’s really his/hers all along, but the fight that that leads to could be rather sad!)

Secondly Moon and Mars are conjunct: The Moon is at 6 deg Vedic Scorpio which is ruled by Mars, and the Moon is never easy in Scorpio. The Moon is debilitated in Scorpio and full of intensity, hurt and danger often (This Moon is the first degree of Sagittarius in Western astrology).
Look which house this Full Moon falls in in your birth chart; the affairs of that House will be difficult now.
Especially: Look at your Moon Ashtakavarga chart in Vedic Astrology (see my blog post) to see how hard, or alternatively how supported,  the Moon energy hits you and your Mind/emotions whenever the Moon is in Scorpio. Work out if you need to do something to protect your mind during that monthly two and a half day period.

Thirdly, Mars and Saturn are both conjunct in the Vedic sign of Scorpio (yes, ruled by Mars), with Mars at 8 Scorpio and Saturn at 20 Scorpio.
And if you look at the Vedic chart at the foot of this post, you can see that they are opposition the Sun all the time the Sun is in Vedic Taurus – not a nice energy!
Both Mars and Saturn are retrograde, so their energy will carry difficult lessons for you now, including tying up karmic lose ends.
They don’t get exactly conjunct each other until August 24th, so there will be a long run of this difficult Saturn-Mar energy, which is a bit like living in a concentration camp, actually – and we have all been experiencing it all year.

Fourthly, Venus is combust the Sun (4 degrees), so that’s hard for love issues, and especially hard if you have Ascendant/Lagna, Moon or Sun in one of the Sun-ruled signs in your Vedic birth chart (Libra or Taurus)

Fifthly, North Node (Rahu) and Jupiter are both conjunct in Vedic Leo. Rahu conjunct Jupiter is an ambitious and big energy that could bring you success, but beware: with Jupiter-Rahu transiting there is the danger of over-ambition or even rather dark associations, so be careful with how you work with your ambitions.
Jupiter was retrograde until 9th May and we were deprived of his usual blessing and expansion, but of course the full Jupiter energy will sadly not be available to us all until he enters Vedic Virgo on 11th August, indeed all the time he is in Vedic Leo until them, his beneficence will be rather dampened and structured because he is receiving the aspect from Saturn.

Sixth, our friend, Mercury is still retrograde, though he does go direct on May 22nd, though Mercury Retrograde issues mean that you will need to tie up all the loose ends with posts and communications until he gets back to his pre-retrogradation position at 29 degrees Vedic Aries on June 7th.

Importantly, the Moon will cross through the difficult Gandanta Zone at the endo of Vedic Scorpio on May 23rd. Gandanta Zones are difficult degrees of the chart where water signs give way to fire signs. I really feel the bereft hurt of the gandanta energy because my Moon in my birth chart is in a Gandanta Zone, so if you have planets, especially Moon or Sun in your birth chart in the last degree of Vedic Scorpio, you could feel even worse at the time of this Full Moon.

Donald Trump Astrology: from Michael Conneely. Post No. 3 – The Divisive Serpent gets Bigger

Rahu, North Node of the Moon

Rahu, North Node of the Moon

The Divisive Serpent gets Bigger! This is Michael Conneely’s 3rd Blog Post about Donald Trump and the US Presidential Election: www.starwheelastrology.com.

But in this new post: my 3rd Blog Post in my Donald Trump series, we now note that this ‘Kal Sarpa Yoga’ divisive serpent energy is not only in the chart of Donald Trump as US presidential candidate. Amazingly, by coincidence, it is also at the same time mirrored in the heavens as well! What on earth will this mean???

From 28th September 2016, all the planets in the heavens are one side of the Rahu – Ketu axis (this is the North node-South Node axis). Kal Sarpa Yoga starts!

From this date, the divisive energy therefore exists not only in Donald Trump’s birth chart; it exists in the heavens as well at the same time! As above, so below! What a coincidence! Again: what on earth will it mean??

And, remember,  this is after 2016 being a bad year, really, for the planetary energies affecting all of us in the world. This bad year has been due to two long-running other malefic transits:
a) Firstly this is due to the malefics Saturn and Mars both transiting in Vedic Scorpio up to 18th September 2016.
b) Secondly, this is also due to Rahu (North Node) and Jupiter both transiting in Vedic Leo up to 11th August 2016. This is a malefic energy where Jupiter amplifies the driven, distorted energy of Rahu, and Rahu, sadly, sullies the purity of the guru energy of Jupiter. It is known as ‘Guru Chandala Yoga’. It can manifest quite darkly, even as fundamentalist war.

And now we find that from 28th September 2016, the world will be experiencing the malefic, powerful and divisive Kal Sarpa Yoga energy in the heavens in addition, as well.

How long will it last? Well, this malefic energy technically starts to reduce on 26th December 2016. However, not fully: the energies continue to be not good, in that all the planets are still within the same sign as the Nodes, Rahu and Ketu – until the morning of 20th January 2017.

Not a good energy!

And US Presidential Election date is: 8.11.2016.

And US Presidential Inauguration date is 20.1.2017.

How will this energy affect the US voters?

As I said in my 2nd post of this ‘Donald Trump series’: ‘Above all, the effect of Kal Sarpa yoga can be to make the person divisive.  It can be associated with physical deformity or moral weakness, misfortunes, deceit and treason. The positive qualities of this Yoga are that, the native can acquire a capacity to do arduous work, with exceptional success.  Moreover one can fulfill his desires of his life, either in the materialistic concept or in the spiritual scope. But it is noted for its capacity for divisive ranting.

‘The important thing is that divisiveness in politics never leads to good results. It leads to scapegoating of minorities and ethnic outsiders. The role of the political leader must ideally be to seek to unite the people in the nation. And to seek to maintain good relations with nations abroad (though not of course with surrender of national autonomy or defence).
‘If the US is to elect with this Yoga in his Vedic birth chart, it would be something like electing Mussolini. And with possible similar consequences.’

So, what will we all experience when there is Kal Sarpa Yoga in the heavens as well as in the birth chart of one of the US Presidential Candidates???

Well, it is particularly not good to have Kal Sarpa Yoga in the heavens. This is because the Moon which very greatly affects the Minds and the emotions of all of us, for 15 days of each month is enclosed by the serpent energy of the Kal Sarpa Yoga in the heavens; and for the other 15 days of each month, the Moon is out there on its own, cut off from the support of all the other planets.

So, what is the effect on us all, of Moon being out there on its own and unsupported outside the Kal Sarpa Yoga? Well, it’s ‘unsupported’; it’s ‘unstable’. And so, except for the perceptive who seek to stabilise their minds, it gives us humans fluctuating Mind and turbulent even hostile/aggressive/driven or dark or distorted emotions.

Note that this malefic effect on our minds and emotions certainly runs from 28th September 2016 until 26.12.16 as a technical minimum, but its effect will in fact continue to influence the world until 20.1.2017, when, at last, not all the planets are in or within the same sign as the Nodes of the Moon.

So here are the key questions:

Does this malefic energy in the heavens mean that Donald Trump’s divisive politics will be amplified?

Does this malefic energy in the heavens mean that US and world politics will become quite dark and turbulent?

Watch out for my planned future Blog posts in this Donald Trump series. Will he win?

Obviously there will be a big need for everyone to seek to stabilise their minds and emotions at this quite dangerous time. And I pray that we will not be drawn into divisive politics.

Clearly Identify the danger days for the stability of your mind: Ashtakavarga

Clearly Identify the danger days for the stability of your mind: Ashtakavarga

Michael burnsall crop bestDo you have regular mood swings, sadnesses, irritability or emotional highs and lows? Does your mind get gripped by obsessive thinking?

I would like to draw your attention to a very accurate way in which you can become aware of good days and danger days each month for the stability of your Mind and emotions.

This post tells you about a reliable way to identify the days that will be favourable to you for the balance of your mind, and, by contrast, the method tells you the days that could lead to mood swings, depressions and lack of confidence.

The method I am describing here is called Ashtakavarga, and it comes from the sure and powerful ancient astrology of India: Vedic Astrology.

The method can be used to map the effect of each sign the Moon passes through in the month it takes to complete its orbit: i.e. two and a half days per sign.

So this brings me to the invaluable tool for knowing how the daily position of the Moon will affect your Mind and your emotions: Ashtakavarga. Or more exactly: your Moon Ashtakavarga chart:

Here is my  personal Moon Ashtakavarga chart:
Michael Conneely Ashtakavarga Moon chart

From the above chart you can clearly and easily see that during the two and a half days each month when the Moon is transiting through the Vedic sign of Scorpio (sign 8 in the above chart) my mind and emotions will be unsupported by the other planets as the score in Vedic Scorpio is only 2, and I could expect to feel very churned up.

However, from the above chart you can also see that when the Moon is transiting through the next sign, the Vedic sign of Sagittarius (sign 9 in the above chart) my mind and emotions will be buoyant and optimistic and creative. 8 is the best score!

By the way, it’s a very real danger point for your mind and emotions if you have a score of 1 for any of your Vedic signs, or even worse than that a score of zero in any Vedic sign in your personal Moon Ashtakavarga chart.

I was discussing this with a group of students in Latvia last night. There was one student who was so positive and full of leadership and with so many of her plans coming to fruition.

However, when we looked at her personal Moon ashtakavarga chart, I saw that the score for Leo in her chart was only one point. Here is her Moon Ashtakavarga chart:
Judite Ashtakavarga Moon chart

This means that for the two and a half days each month when the Moon is in the Vedic sign of Leo, her mind and emotions could be very unsupported and fluctuating with mood swings.

Her response to this was interesting. She said that she had stabilised her mind through doing yoga. One notices the swings, the highs and lows, but one stabilises: one does not give into them.

Shiva NatarajaSimilarly, my partner Maggie and I do 108 mantras to Lord Shiva before a Shiva Nataraja murti (statue) each morning.  I definitely find this acts as a barometer as to what state my mind is in that day. It is also really good for stabilising my mind. It is also really good for putting me in touch with my body: noticing what tensions are held in my body, putting me back to a more healed and empowered state of body and mind.

But I don’t just use Vedic Astrology. Because we are all psychological beings in the modern west, I also use western psychodynamic and evolutionary western astrology in all my worldwide readings and courses.

But you do need Vedic Astrology, not least because it is so accurate; not least because it is rooted in your incarnational life purpose.

Because we are all born to an incarnational life purpose and because we all have to spiritually learn (or not) by having to deal with the unfolding of that destiny, I also use the utter vastness and declarative sureness of Vedic Astrology.
I believe the very best results come from working with the two: both western and Vedic astrology.

Now, the Ashtakavarga is a powerful, accurate and unique way in Vedic Astrology of working out how each of the twelve Vedic signs will respond to the transit of the Moon (and any planet) through that sign. And the position of the Moon in the heavens is a major determinant of how we feel emotionally that day.

Ashtakavarga also has other purposes by the way, for example in working out the compatibility of a couple. It can also be assessed for assessing how severe or otherwise the effects of transits of planets will be on you.

In Ashtakavarga, each of the twelve Vedic signs in your Vedic birth chart is assigned a number of positive and negative points (Rekhas are positive points; bindus are negative points).

These points are based on the influence of the ascendant (lagna) and the seven main Vedic planets on each of the twelve Vedic signs in your Vedic birth chart.

So, based on their individual positions in the individual’s Vedic birth chart, the lagna and the seven main Vedic planets, each contribute a certain clearly definable and very different positive and negative influence to each of the twelve signs of your horoscope.

Now my point is that the position of the Moon in the heavens each day – which sign it is in – has an enormous influence on our state of mind that day.

The sign the Moon is in is not the only influence of course. For example, there’s the positon of the other planets in the heavens as well: they too can also affect our mind and emotions.

For example, at the time of writing this post, Mars and Saturn are transiting together in the heavens at the moment through the Vedic sign of Scorpio.

Vedic Scorpio never an easy sign for the Moon (because the Moon is Fallen and in a potential tumult in Scorpio).

So this means that when the Moon goes through Vedic Scorpio for two and a half days each month, we are all likely to feel less mentally and emotionally ‘together’.

And in the week when I wrote this post it was all worse than usual:
Last Friday there was an Eclipse and I saw one case of aggressive and hostile manipulative ranting and incredible denial. Then the Moon passed Mars into Vedic Scorpio. Then the Moon then went past Retrograde Saturn in Vedic Scorpio in the heavens, thirdly the moon then crossed through what’s called the Gandanta zone.

What is the Gandanta zone? Well, there are three Gandanta Zones in the Vedic birth chart. Each is at the transition point from a water sign to a fire sign. They are quite dangerous points in the heavens. I was actually born with my Moon in the Pisces Gandanta Zone, and to have your natal Moon in a Gandanta Zone means that mother will not be there for you and your childhood will be wrecked and mother issues are like a fated knot: the more you try to sort them out, the more the knot tightens. Other planets in Gandanta you can do more about.

So as the Moon went past currently retrograde Mars in Vedic Scorpio I noticed a lot of people were being irritable, and as it past currently retrograde Saturn in Vedic Scorpio I noticed a lot of sadness, and as it went through the Gandanta zone at the end of Scorpio, I felt incredible sadness and other people around me felt this too.

It all depends on your individual chart and your level of awareness how you will experience these energies.

By the way, if you have an ‘unsupported Moon’, in other words the Moon in your Vedic birth chart does not have other planets near it (Rahu and Ketu, the Nodes don’t count in this by the way as they do NOT support the Moon), you will have problems of emotional stability and do need to develop ways of stabilising your mind and emotions.

Donald Trump Astrology: from Michael Conneely. Post No. 2 – The Divisive Serpent

Donald Trump Astrology Post 2

Michael burnsall crop bestI have decided to put out a number of posts about the astrology of Donald Trump: what his western and Vedic astrology reveals about his nature, and what his astrology reveals about his chances of winning the US Presidential Election. See here for the First Donald Trump Post

In this second post, I look at what is revealed by the fact that he has Kal Sarpa Yoga in his Vedic astrology birth chart.

Vedic Astrology is awesomely accurate and sure in its declaration in the hands of a trained astrologer, but I do feel it is actually incomplete unless the psychodynamic astrology of the client is also added in and fully taken into account. Modern westerners are, after all, intensely psychological beings.

It centrally stands out that Donald Trump has Kal Sarpa Yoga in his Vedic birth chart.

In other words, all his Vedic planets are enclosed between the axis of the Nodes of the Moon.

In Vedic Astrology, the North node is called Rahu and the South node is called Ketu, and the position of the Nodes of the Moon in our Vedic birth chart is actually the key to the reading of our incarnational life purpose.

Incidentally, just to say that Donald Trump’s Moon and Sun are technically just a fraction outside the Nodal Axis it would be wrong and legalistic to say he has not got Kal Sarpa Yoga. I have found this this is Kal Sarpa Yoga, and I have found that even where planets are outside but in the same sign as the Nodes, then the Kal Sarpa Yoga effect still shows in their lives.

Here is Donald Trump’s Vedic birth chart:

Above all, the effect of Kal Sarpa yoga can be to make the person divisive.

The important thing is that divisiveness in politics never leads to good results. It leads to scapegoating of minorities and ethnic outsiders.

The role of the political leader must ideally be to seek to unite the people in the nation. And to seek to maintain good relations with nations abroad (though not of course with surrender of national autonomy or defence).

If the US is to elect Donald Trump with this Yoga in his Vedic birth chart, it would be something like electing Mussolini. And with possible similar consequences.

Since the Nodes of the Moon are associated with Karmic attributes, the yoga inflicts certain restrictions over a natal chart. It expresses karmic nemesis.

This does not mean to say that the native cannot work with the divisiveness and poison that is inherent in Kal Sarpa Yoga in their birth chart, but if the needed perception is not gained, and if healing and empowerment work is not done, then we have a nation at war with itself – and others.

The British Prime minister, Margaret Thatcher had Kal Sarpa Yoga in her birth chart!

A big problem for Kal Sarpa Yoga people is that they are subject to mood-swings and they can be prone to blame other people for this: Projection, denial and scapegoating!
This is because half the month while the Moon is going round the heavens, the Moon is inside the Nodal axis and is experienced as linked to the other planets in the birth chart (some benefic, some malefic).
But the other half of the month the Moon is moving out on a limb. The Moon is unsupported by the planets in the native’s birth chart (all of which are the other side of the natal axis).
An unsupported Moon is not easy for our Minds. People with Moon unsupported in their birth chart experience all sorts of fluctuations of mind.
