The Power of the Nodes of the Moon to create a tyrant

Michael ConneelyDonald Trump Astrology Birth Chart The Power of the Nodes of the Moon to create a tyrant

This Blog Post examines the power of the Nodes of the Moon in creating the special destiny of Donald Trump, with which the destiny of so many millions of humans are now entwined.

I have written posts on Donald Trump’s astrology before and charted his rise to power, shown the clear astrological parallel with the rise of Adolph Hitler, and asked the question of what will the eclipse of 21st August 2017 mean for him and for the USA and for the world.

This Blog post focuses on the position of the Nodes of the Moon in his birth chart: The Nodes are Rahu the North Node, Ketu the South Node.

Donald Trump’s  birth chart and derived charts are set out at the foot of this blog post for you to see what I am talking about.

And also please see the associated Video about the Birth Chart of Donald Trump:

This is the chart of one born under an eclipse – darkness upon the native’s life. This means there is some disconnection with the personal identity on earth and the person’s soul or higher self.

Whereas Ketu conjunct the Sun will diminish the Sun and render it insubstantial, Rahu conjunct the Sun, at a worst-case scenario, as here in Donald trump’s chart, will create a hugely over expansive reaction to a crisis in personal identity, making the person go big time for worldly success, and driven to make a huge mark on the world.

Rahu here gives the person clear direction. Success is likely with high social status and fame and achievement. But the impurity of Rahu imbues the Sun with driven over-ambition, selfishness, rigid dogmatic ideas and dark psychological tendencies of scapegoating.

Rahu has an adventurous nature and loves surprises and sudden events, that are not actually real, but an illusion that is magically forced to become chameleon reality in peoples’ minds. The energy breaks taboos and loves to breach boundaries. It wants to be unique and noticed and break tradition all so as to repair the original wound of not having loving notice from mother.

Sun is the King. Rahu is the thief. They are inimical. The genius with double standards loves to think outside the box and sneak its way to power by cheating and hiding the real truth, while looking honest and convincing in his deception.

N.B. AND ALSO NOTE THAT HE HAS Chiron conjunct Jupiter which makes it worse: an existential wound to Jupiter, producing glitzy ungrounded over-expansionary slogansing and rant.

Ketu conjunct Moon:

The Moon represents the Mother, Mind and consciousness arising therefrom. Ketu conjunct the Moon can gives intuition and even psychic powers, but this can become florid and even insane in the worst cases.

Issues from mothering in this and past lives, and also psychic material from past lives can overwhelm and confuse the mind, leading to outburst and irrationality, fear and turbulence, and so spiritual management of consciousness is essential for the stability, continuity and protection both of the person concerned and also those in their lives: whether family members, or the public at large if their job takes them in that direction.

Ketu conjunct Moon creates confusion, scatter, over-analysis and turmoil in the mind and emotions, with great potential for becoming critical of self or others and attacking others.

And note importantly from the Vedic astrology table below that Sun is ‘AK’. Sun is his Atmakaraka. He was born to get Sun issues right this life time, because of what happened in his previous life! And with Rahu conjucnt Sun what a set-up for great power he has!
And note importantly that Saturn is also transiting conjunct Ketu, and so Saturn is transiting opposition Rahu: And note from the Vedic Dignities Table below, what great Dignity his Rahu and his Ketu have: what a powerful and fated life!

How Strong are your Planets?

In my Astrology Readings and Astrology Courses, I can combine both Western Astrology with Vedic Astrology, and this gives a really vast and comprehensive declaration. It is possible to judge how a planet will manifest in our life in a very accurate way.

Vedic Astrology uses the Sidereal Zodiac, which is anchored to the (relatively) fixed stars; Western Astrology uses the Tropical Zodiac which is based on the position that Sun occupies on the day of the Vernal Equinox, the First Day of Spring, and so Western Astrology, being Sun sign based is attunes to our egoic psychological unfoldment, whereas Vedic Astrology declares more of our spiritual destiny and how that will unfold. In fact, you need both. And the contribution of the Outer Planets of Western Astrology: Uranus, Neptune and Pluto is crucially needed, as is the importance of Chiron the Wounded Healer in our Chart.

It is so helpful to have this sort of expert Astrological declaration about how each of our planets will perform in our life. And so you can book an Astrology Reading with me, see:  www.starwheelastrology.com

But it also wonderful to learn to do it for yourself, so you can enrol on one of my courses, for example:
Western Foundation Astrology Course:   www.enlightenedastrologycourse.com
Vedic Foundation Astrology Course: www.mastervedicastrology.com

But Astrological perception on its own is not enough. And we must certainly not fall victim to astrological formula and rule-bound repetitious utterance.  We so crucially also need to be open to our magic – especially where destiny has dealt us a more challenging than usual hand (where our soul has chosen that for this lifetime).

Regarding the question about strength of a planet in our Vedic birth chart: the key thing I learned on my second Vedic astrology course was to ask: strong for what?

When a planet is strong we absolutely need to be aware: ‘strong’ is not necessarily a boon: it can be a curse. Just for one example, it can make us too pushy until we learn to understand and heal it. Adolph Hitler had an Exalted Sun in Ashwini Nakshatra in Vedic sign of Aries. The Nakshatras are the wonderful 27-sign Lunar Zodiac of vedic Astrology. See my: www.nakshatrasadvancedcourse.com

LOOKING MORE AT THE FOUNDATION:

Having made the crucial introduction about the need to be flexible and intuitive about the use of the Vedic astrology formulae, I thought it would be a good idea to show the clear foundation for working out how strong a planet is in your birth chart:  planets are strong if:

In own sign
In sign of exaltation
In moolatrikona sign
When certain yogas are formed, such as Parivartana and so on.

And then there are other considerations like directional strength, and strength calculated across a range of Varga or ‘Divisional’ charts (The Vimshopak calculation).

And in Western Astrology too, which is very psychodynamic and encompasses psychosynthesis, there are also ways of calculating whether a strong or weak.

LOOKING MORE AT ADVANCED INTERPRETATION:

I do that is that having mastered the basics, we need to go on to examine the statements about a planet being strong or weak and ask ourselves what does this really mean??? You have learn to think intuitively and flexibly as well, when you are working out how strong a planet is in your birth chart.

For example, my Moon at 29 Pisces 58 could be considered ‘weak’ in that it’s rashi sandhi or edge of sign.
Now, my Moon is Lagnesha: i.e. my Moon Lord of my Cancer lagna/Ascendant in my birth chart, but some would definitely consider it a weak Lord for my chart.

Indeed, worse than this, my Moon is Gandanta: in one of the three dangerous and difficult points in the birth chart which are the transition points from Water signs to Fire signs. Moon being Gandanta means that mother will not be there for you (and she wasn’t: she put me in a Convent Orphanage – and then an adoption followed where I was treated as invisible, belittled and walked over time and time again).

BUT you have to realise that my Moon actually has immense strength potential.  It has the potential to achieve immense strength.

This is firstly because it is my Atmakaraka (or ‘soul indicator’).

And it is also because it’s Vargottoma. Vargottoma means a planet is in same sign in Rashi (birth chart) as it is in Navamsha (The 9th Harmonic or Divisional Chart, also called Varga Charts which make powerful declaration about specific areas of our life: in the case of the Navamsha, this is the chart of Soul and Marriage.

So, the point I am making is that horrible challenge was set for me by my Gandanta Moon, BUT – but enormous spiritual strength is also there if I can heal and access the magic.

The essence of that special strength is in terms of spiritual messages (good or hard) that will come all my life due to my Moon being Vargottoma.

So you can see that to ask the question: How strong is my planet? Actually, needs to be answered with a lot of learning and intelligence. And so, this is what you will get if you enrol for one of my Astrology Readings. And this is what you will learn to do for yourself if you enrol for one of my very caring Astrology Courses.

Let’s take a second example around the issue of strength:  Mars.

My Mars is really strong. It’s what’s called Raja Yoga in Vedic Astrology because it’s in Scorpio, the sign Mars rules.

But, there’s a twist to the tale: Argala!

Using the Argala system of Jaimini astrology, that strength is weakened or made very complicated because I have three difficult planets in the 12th House from my Mars (12th House is the House before the house occupied by my Mars. If you have planets in the 12th House from the planet you are assessing, this is Negative Argala (where some problem is created for the functioning of the planet).

And in my case, these three planets that are in the 12th House from my Mars are a deeply Fallen sun at 1 deg Libra, also Ketu (the South Node of the Moon) and Mercury (where Mercury is problematic as he is Lord of the 12th House of Loss as well as the third House of obstacles! – and he’s Retrograde!

So here we have a case of a strong Mars being made very complicated by negative Argala. Yet the gift of this problematic Mars is capacity for deep mystical focus and insight!

Like my Moon, my Sun, too, is Vargottoma (i.e. Sun is in same sign in Rashi as in Navamsha). So, this means my Soul will always be sending my Fallen Sun strong messages throughout my life, with the divine purpose to lead me to understand what a weak Sun means, and that will have the aim to spur me to learn how to strengthen, heal and empower my weak Sun. so in this way, to have this weak Sun is a spiritual gift, though a difficult spiritual gift. So here we have a case of a planet being weak is not necessarily ‘bad’.

My Sun is conjunct Ketu, the South Node of the Moon. Ketu is, of course, potentially undoing and dissolution, and with Ketu being conjunct my weak Sun, this is a very bad indicator for Father issues, because in Vedic Astrology Sun is Karaka (or indicator) for Father: I only met my father once and he asked to borrow money from me!

Never the less, my weak Sun makes backhanded strong gift: Having Sun conjunct Ketu and conjunct Mercury as the Lord of the 12th House, can give you openings to spiritual truth and can give you spiritual and visionary merger: the crock of gold at the end of the rainbow, as the Irish round here would say!

Astrology Mini Course How do I understand my planets?

You will benefit from depth study on one or two of your planets.

Enroll on Michael Conneely’s Astrology Mini Course 5: How do I understand my planets?

In this wonderful course, which is the 5th of my Astrology Mini Courses, together, we study one or two planets in your birth chart in great depth. You can do this whether you are fairly much a beginner or are very advanced.

I normally combine both Vedic Astrology and Western astrology in my courses and readings, so you need to know at least the basics of either Vedic Astrology interpretation or Western astrology interpretation to do this course. If you know just one of these two disciplines, which is normally the case, don’t worry because I can add in the perceptions of the other discipline.

And even if you have considerable experience in either of these, you can still discover invaluable insights by working with me. I am used to working with highly qualified students, as well.

So, what is the focus of this Astrology Mini-Course?

Well, you may feel you will really benefit if you do in depth study on one or two of your planets.

For example, you might choose to study Venus in your birth chart and predictive astrology to really work out what is your script for love and sexuality. And in this case, we would naturally study the Houses occupied and Ruled by Venus, the aspects involving Venus, and also study your 7th House, you’re 7th Arudha and the Upapada which is the pada of your 12th house in order to assess your scripts for relationships, marriage and children.

For example, you might choose to study Mars in your birth to work out what your scripts for assertion are, how you use your Mars, either too weak or too strong, or both of those! We might well need to do a Chiron study.

For example, you might choose to study Neptune in your life: are you a visionary or an illusionist? Are you sorcerous and deceptive? Are you and earth mystic? Are you a Pied Piper?

A key approach of mine is to link astrology to any needed healing and empowerment, and I also do vision journeying if requested. And see our Healing Centre in the West of Ireland: http://www.foxfordairbnb.com/retreats.html

In your western astrology, one of the issues we will be looking at is the effect of Nature versus Nurture, and I use a psychodynamic counting system where we can examine this question.
In your Vedic astrology, a couple of the techniques we will include is the use of Planets as Indicators or Karakas. In vedic Astrology there are two invaluable systems of Karakas: Fixed Indicators and Chara (or Moveable) Indicators. Fixed indicators are things or people a planet always defines in your life. So, what you do then is assess the strength/weakness and qualities of that planet and you will see a perception of how those life areas or people will manifest in your life and you work out what to do about healing or empowering around that script or destiny.

Here’s a couple of examples of use of your planets as pointers towards gaining understanding of the planets in your birth chart, by understanding them as fixed indicators:

Sun: Father, sense of self (ahamkara), soul, our inner life and light, individuality, rational mind, status in the world
soul, confidence, generosity, power, ego, father.
The Sun denotes fatherly qualities, leadership and needing to be visible and “seen”. The nodes have unique offerings.

Moon: Mother, emotions, personality, happiness, home, The past
feeling/emotions, connection, family, others, mother.
The Moon offers nurturing, nourishment and support, as well as hospitality and the qualities of mothering.

Jupiter: Dharma, guru, wealth, luck, health, Husband (for woman).
wisdom, meaning, optimism, children, teachings.
Jupiter (the guru) who indicates teaching, giving knowledge, or being in a position of offering information.

However, Vedic Astrology also has a system of moveable indicators which is incredibly sophisticated and powerful. So here the planet indicates different issues depending on its longitude within its sign in your individual and personal vedic birth chart. So here is a brief statement of assessing what each planet will indicate in your personal and individual chart:

Your Planets as Karakas or indicators for aspects of your destiny:

AK = the Atmakaraka the indicator of the soul and the self (also called atma) and also our health. Our most important planet. It represents an unfinished task of prime importance left over from our past life. Predictive periods ruled by or involving your Atmakaraka can be especially trenchant and turbulent as our soul seeks to put our life on ‘spiritual course’.

AmK =  Amatyakaraka the indicator of our advisors and counsellors, as well as an indicator of profession

BK = Bhratikaraka the indicator of siblings and one’s teacher/guru and those close to us

MK = Matrikaraka the indicator of the mother and maternal relatives, and also those who support and nourish us

PiK = Pitrikaraka the indicator of the father (and paternal relatives) and also bosses and employers and authority figures

PuK = Putrakaraka the indicator of children and also our students and followers

GK = Gnatikaraka the indicator of our rivals and enemies, as well as kinsmen and relatives

DK = Darakaraka the indicator of the marriage partner or lover.  This is also seen for wealth and business

Ketu the South Node of the Moon does not represent ‘worldly life’: he is the karaka of enlightenment, the path of the soul towards moksha, which is the exact opposite of worldly life

This system is so subtle and immensely powerful. For example, look at Bhratikaraka. I have Rahu as Bhratikaraka, and so often I have had teachers who have fired me on but harmed me. So you get the idea? These are the issues we study in this special astrology Mini Course study.

And importantly, as with all my courses, the focus of study on the selected special Mini-Course theme, is studied with reference to two charts: yours and mine. The benefit of this approach is that it ensures authenticity and trust. We develop an excellent working relationship.

There’s the very special benefit that I am extensively trained in both Vedic and Western astrology, I have a wide academic background, I have spent five years studying individuals and communities following spiritual pathways new to the modern West, and above all I am very caring and I pride myself in supportively enabling and developing your studies as far as your need to go. Astrology Mini Readings : Special Planet of difficulty or reward in your life

Have one of Michael Conneely’s special Astrology Mini Readings: A special focus on a key planet  in your life.

This could be a planet that really does seem to pose special problems in your life
OR
It could be a planet which you feel could offer you very special opportunity, if only you could understand, use and deploy them better.

In this special reading, there is the very special bonus that I expertly combine both your Vedic Astrology and your Western astrology.

This particular Astrology Mini-Reading will really benefit you. if you feel you really could do with in-depth study on one or maybe two of your planets.

For example, you may feel you will really benefit if you had an in depth reading on Mars, or Venus or Neptune:

Venus: For example, you might choose a Mini Reading to study Venus in your birth chart and predictive astrology to really work out what is your script for love and sexuality. And in this case, we would naturally study the Houses occupied and Ruled by Venus, the aspects involving Venus, and also study your 7th House, you’re 7th Arudha and the Upapada which is the pada of your 12th house in order to assess your scripts for relationships, marriage and children.

Mars: For example, you might choose a Mini Reading to study Mars in your birth to work out what your scripts for assertion are, how you use your Mars, either too weak or too strong, or both of those! We might well need to do a Chiron study.

Neptune: For example, you might choose to study Neptune in your life: are you a visionary or an illusionist? Are you sorcerous and deceptive? Are you an earth mystic? Are you a Pied Piper?

Healing:
A key approach of mine is to link astrology to any needed healing and empowerment, and I also do vision journeying if requested. And see our Healing Centre in the West of Ireland: http://www.foxfordairbnb.com/retreats.html

Nature v Nurture: In your western astrology, one of the issues we will be looking at is the effect of Nature versus Nurture, and I use a psychodynamic counting system where we can examine this question.

Karakas: In Vedic Astrology, there’s a system of Planets as Fixed Indicators and Planets as Moveable Indicators. I shall bring into your Reading study of the invaluable dimension offered by Vedic Astrology of study of the selected planets in your birth chart as Fixed Indicators and Chara (or Moveable) Indicators.
Fixed indicators are things or people a planet always defines in your life. So, what you do then is assess the strength/weakness and qualities of that planet and you will see a perception of how those life areas or people will manifest in your life and you work out what to do about healing or empowering around that script or destiny.
And Vedic Astrology’s system of moveable indicators or Chara Karakas is incredibly sophisticated and powerful. For example, if we look at one’s Bhratikaraka planet which is partly about the teachers one will attract into one’s life, well: I have Rahu as Bhratikaraka, and so often I have had teachers who have fired me on but harmed me. So, you get the idea? These are the issues we study in this special astrology Mini Reading.

Healing:
In addition, I run a healing Centre in the West of Ireland together with my partner Maggie Pashley, and so we work with a wide range of healing modalities face to face there, as well as worldwide by internet, and so, very importantly, I am able to gear your astrological project of study to your healing and empowerment and to the achievement of the very special spark you came here to manifest. Have you got a weak Sun? Crucial astrological guidance.

surya-1Have you got a weak Sun? Crucial astrological guidance. Healing and Empowerment

Vedic Astrology has a very effective way of measuring the strength of the planets in our birth chart including a weak sun.

If we have a weak Sun, this indicates lack of self-confidence and possibly lack of clear steering, coordination and direction.

My Sun’s position in the chart exactly predicts a lack of confidence which has dogged my life. It has thus failed to manage other planets for example my very strong Jupiter or Mars. It has set me on a path of letting enemies beset me because it can’t manage my strong sixth House of Enemies.

The Sun is the Divine Charioteer which drives the chariot of Self. He hold in his hands the reins that guide the horse that pull the chariot of self: the other planets. What happens to a chariot when the charioteer is weak or lacking in confidence? The horses pull it all ways; they derail it. What happens to a horse (a planet) when the charioteer is weak? Obviously, there’s not enough check on the worse sides of the horse (planet) coming out; the horse (planet) does not get properly trained.

Of course, once we have generated the peerless perception offered by the methods of Vedic Astrology, the question arises of what do we do about it. And this brings me on to the healing and empowerment techniques that I say are the modern remedies for the challenges we see in the chart, in our life, that I offer with my readings and courses.

And of course, I do sincerely believe that the insights of the best in modern western psychodynamic astrology, Chiron astrology and evolutionary astrology do need to be taken on board as well.

That is why my readings and courses always include the option of crossover into both Vedic and Western astrology.

Retrograde Planets in your birth chart – what do they mean?

Retrograde Planets in your birth chart – what do they mean?

Michael Conneely

Michael Conneely

One of my wonderfully able students sent this in. I do feel so blessed with my students. You too can enroll on my psychodynamic and evolutionary western astrology course or one of my Vedic Astrology courses I teach several: choose the one that’s right for you: my Foundation Master Vedic Astrology Course, my Nakshatras course, or my five wonderful advanced Vedic astrology course options.

OR you can book in for one of my caring worldwide astrology readings, and learn all about your Retrograde planets and how best to shape your life around them, and so much more: my astrology readings are exceptionally learned, thorough and caring.

Retrograde planets are there to point to and attract attention to something in particular.  Their influence may also manifest in a twisted, crooked, stranger way (vakri) and may lead to problems.  The ultimate aim, as in anything, should be to become aware of such and observe what areas of one’s life are difficult as a result of this twist.  One can make harder effort to concentrate more and try to correct what the planet suggests.  There may also be a hidden gift / touch of genius / out of ordinary despite the trouble the retrograde position creates.  It may be an opportunity to become aware of such and get in touch with that part of oneself.

I personally have Mercury retrograde in my birth chart, and I have to really try to keep on top of filing and IT issues, especially when there’s a period of Mercury Retrograde coming up in the heavens as well.

A Planet is termed ‘Retrograde’ if it has backward motion in the heavens as viewed from Earth. You will have Retrograde Planets in your birth chart if one or more of your planets was travelling backwards in the skies at the moment you were born.
